Sandwich Generation
I am truly part of the sandwich generation. Not only must I be able to deal with Skype and FaceTime over a dodgy wireless internet connection (How fast did you say, Virgin Media? Hold on while I ROFL..... Well if you've learnt stupid abbreviations you might as well use them I suppose...), in order to communicate with my eldest at uni in Scotland ( somebody please give them independence just to stop them wingeing about the fish and the oil....)I also have to endure my youngest son playing endless hours of 80's electro pop as if it's something new (please - I danced the night away to it in Heaven more times than I care to mention....)and on top of it all I have to have the advanced communication skills required to explain the iPad to my extremely deaf 86 year old mother. Only to have her go out and buy one. So my son has an iPad, my mother has an iPad. And I don't. Sandwiched between the iPad generations, that's me......
